3 Quick & Healthy Breakfasts: Centerco Tenant Liz Patton, RD

Liz Patton, founder of RDbyyourside and Centero tenant, has always had an interest in health and nutrition. She also has a love for food, so when it came time to choose a career path she knew she wanted to be a dietitian. Her passion flourished when she found that she could help people reach their health goals by giving them an individualized approach to healthy eating. Since dieting and box nutrition meals are not always the best options, Liz wanted to show people that good tasting, nutritious food can make you feel good.RDbyyourside
Liz’s services cover a variety of areas in nutrition. Her counseling services include: weight management, diabetes care, sports nutrition, elimination diets, help in reaching your health goals and much more. Liz started her company RDbyyourside in 2011 and looks forward to growing her practice and helping more people through the power of healthy eating and living. When asked why she enjoys her office at Centerco, she said, “I like that there are many other wellness professionals in the building I can connect with. I love the gym and the space is modern, bright and welcoming. Also, the location is great!”
Liz wanted to share a few of her go-to quick and healthy breakfasts for professionals on the go. Her 3 favorites are:
(1) 1 cup oatmeal made with low-fat milk with 1 tablespoon natural peanut butter and a small, sliced banana stirred in.
(2) 1 cup bran flakes with 2 tablespoons walnuts, 1 tablespoon dried berries and 1 cup low-fat milk.
(3) Trader Joe’s Stone-Ground Wheat Bagel with 2 tablespoons almond butter, 1 cup low-fat milk and a small apple.
